			<description><![CDATA[ I keep my betta in a one gallon tank and do a 100% water change once a week and try to keep his temperature above 70 F. i add dechlorinator, aquarium salt and a drop of vitamins each day. I feed him one Hikari Betta Bio-Gold Ball a day and a bloodworm twice a week. He wasn't always very active, but after I changed his water and put him back in his tank he wasn't responding to anything. I tried to feed him but he didn't come up. He just lay on the bottom of the tank, I didn't even see him come... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ i have 1 betta that i moved into a 5g tank with a few rocks and 3 bamboo shoots.... it's been 4 days since the move and i looked in the tank tonight and 2 small mucus sacks are stuck to one of the rocks.... there's something dark inside one of the sacks (almost looks like a chunk of food)....<br><br> any ideas on what this could be? i'm assuming it wouldn't have anything to do with spawning as there's only 1 betta in my house.....<br><br> on a side note - how do you tell if they're male or... ]]></description>

My betta seems to have stopped eating, and at times he sits at the bottom of the tank and looks like hes gulping air out of his mouth, its constantly moving then in spurts he'll swim like mad....is it just cuz he's swimming so hard? I put in some floating plants, i have a sponge filter yet unstarted and new. I put medicine in to remove any amonia, I bought marxyon to protect the eggs when i go to breed my fish. I have 2 males in seperate bowls, and a female in a bowl beside them. My male bettas have been posing ever since i put the ladies beside them. I have him in a 2 litre tank and I've got a regular 40 watt lamp over top of him because I live in a basement and there isnt much light and its not too warm right now. Is this okay? 			<description><![CDATA[ My female betta is still hanging in even though she's had the obvious symptoms of dropsy for over two months (raised scales, bloating). I've tried karacyn and this week completed 2 treatments with maracyn 2. After not eating for about 10 days early on, she now eats like a little pig, but occasionally spits it back up hours later, and isn't pooping. (I did find poop two or three times over the past month, but I don't think that's enough.) Her favorite food is the pellets (betta bio-gold), but... ]]></description>
